Can I Cancel My Order?
Before your key is delivered: If you contact us immediately after placing your order, before your license key has been sent to your email, we will make every effort to cancel the order and issue a full refund. Please email us at support@mscdkeys.com with your order number as quickly as possible and mark your subject line as "URGENT: Cancel Order #XXXX".
After your key has been delivered: Because our products are digital and delivered instantly upon payment confirmation, orders cannot be cancelled once the license key has been issued and sent to your email address. This is consistent with standard digital goods consumer protection exceptions recognized in most jurisdictions.
Why Can't I Cancel After Delivery?
Digital software license keys are unique, one-time-use codes. The moment a key is delivered to you, it has been disclosed — unlike a physical product, it cannot be "returned" or made unavailable to you. This is why cancellation after delivery is not possible.
This policy is in line with standard practices across the digital software retail industry and is consistent with international consumer protection laws governing digital content, including the EU Consumer Rights Directive and UK Consumer Contracts Regulations, which recognize digital content as an exception to standard cancellation rights once delivery has begun with the consumer's consent.
What If I Ordered the Wrong Product?
If you ordered the wrong version, edition, or product by mistake, please contact us at support@mscdkeys.com before activating the key. While we cannot guarantee an exchange in every case, our support team will review your situation and do their best to find a resolution. We handle these situations on a case-by-case basis.
We strongly recommend double-checking the following before completing your order:
- The correct Windows edition (Home vs. Pro)
- The correct Office version (2016, 2019, 2021, or 2024)
- The correct edition (Home & Student, Home & Business, Professional)
- The number of PC licenses included
- Compatibility with your operating system (Windows or Mac)
What If My Payment Is Pending?
In some cases, your bank or payment provider may place a payment in a pending state before it is fully processed. If your order shows as pending and you have not yet received a key, contact us at support@mscdkeys.com and we can look into whether a cancellation is still possible at that stage.
Cancellation vs. Refund
A cancellation (stopping an order before delivery) is different from a refund (returning value after delivery). If your key has already been delivered, please refer to our Refund Policy to understand what circumstances may qualify you for a refund or replacement — for example, if you received a faulty, invalid, or already-used key.
Fraudulent Orders and Unauthorized Transactions
If you believe an order was placed on your account without your authorization, please contact us immediately at support@mscdkeys.com and your card issuer or bank. We take unauthorized transaction reports seriously and will cooperate fully in any investigation.
